17-Year-Old Returns Woman’s Lost Purse and Gets $3K Reward

"Do the right thing when no one is watching." From time to time, I will share on occasion when anyone do what is right. He or she is exercising their personal choice to either do the right thing or wrong thing when no one is watching them. If there is something that belongs to someone then naturally you want the rightful owner of the item or items to be returned to them. People have misplaced, lost, or left things that I've found and returned to the person or customer service. People have returned things to me that I dropped or left behind. It's common to think selfless.

The 17-year-old remembers what his parents taught him, and he acted selflessly driving to the woman's house and returned her lost purse. In doing a good thing, the woman rewarded the teen $3,000. The teen was not thinking about any reward for returning the lost item to the woman. The teen was thinking he had a choice to do the right thing or the wrong thing when no one was there to tell him what to do. The teen also felt if his item or items were lost, then he we would have wanted anyone to return the lost item or items that belonged to him. When you can do something even when think no one is watching you, God knows and sees everything that we do! A lot of times that proves if we have integrity because integrity is stepping up and doing the right no matter who is around you or not.

When that teen returned the item to the woman, it reminded me so much of how I would be trying to get a lost item or items to anyone. If you can help someone out help them out. Not everyone is about helping others. Not everyone has integrity and not everyone will do the right thing when no one is around them like that. Think of the friends we have. There are 3 categories when it comes to friends. Your best friend will be honest and tell you what is always right, he or she will never tell anything wrong. Friends in name only (FINOs) will only tell you things that you want to hear and then stab you in the back any chance that they get. Lastly, associates are people who you talk to and who you're around only at work, school, and church. Associates are people who you will occasionally tell things to. Some associates can be FINOs and some can be trustworthy enough to be your best friends. The teen seems like he chooses his friends carefully.
