Being in Nashville these past five days have been simply wonderful 😊. I can't explain it other then it was the perfect getaway vacation trip. Between eating out in Hermitage and Nashville it has been amazing. All of this is courteousity of me being where I always wanted to be. The people are really great! 😃
I talked to a waitress who waited on me Wednesday and today at The Waffle House, who calls me friend said to me that she will see me again. I told her when I'm in town again. I believe I will be back here soon. I put in my transfer here to work at the post office in Nashville in a matter of hours before the Charlotte, NC post office. In a first come first serve Nashville acknowledged me ruling out Charlotte. People have a genuine friendly personality here in Nashville and I really like it.
I had a chance to also relax. The Central Standard Time is perfect. It's 12:27 PM here and back in Hartford it's 1:27 PM. Time goes by at a moderate pace. That is another thing that I like. When I was in Chattanooga in 2010-2011 time went by very slow. Southern TN is on Eastern Standard Time. Middle TN Central Standard Time. I plan to go bowling later and then the Grand Ole Opry and hopefully get dinner 🍽️ there. This concludes sharing about the Nashville experience. I will keep you posted when I here anything new. The last time that I was in the Volunteer state of TN was when I was in Chattanooga, TN in 2010-2011. I went there on a $350 voucher that then US Airways gave me when they booked me a one way ticket 🎟️ from Dulles International Airport in DC to Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT. They apologized to me for the military 🪖 for overbooking my flight ✈️ to Philadelphia as a standby passenger at the time that I missed. When I used my voucher I always wanted to be in Nashville, TN. At the time I had to go to Chattanooga but it was good because I had never been to TN before and I met some really nice and hospitable people.
To make a long story short I'm in Nashville. I flew in yesterday March 19, 2024 for my birthday 🎈🎂 and I'm in town till Sunday March 24, 2024. I am enjoying my stay in Nashville so far and the people are a joy 😊 to meet and chat to out here. So far I've been to Cracker Barrel for my birthday yesterday and for breakfast 🍳🥞 today Waffle House. I plan on getting in touch with the Nashville post office and give them my contact info so they can give me a follow up on my transfer.
I'm from the post office plant in Hartford and I know it takes a while for a transfer to go through. I'm also waiting to see if and when I am about to get back paid. I was supposed to convert to career July 31, 2021 along with 2 other co-workers but instead us three converted April 23, 2022. A woman who was ahead of me by 1 on the relative standing list back in March of 2021 decided to do both distribution at the stations and window clerk at the front of the Hartford plant.
When the woman heard that she was the last to convert in July 31, 2021 she bidded back in the Hartford plant and it prevented us three from converting with her. The union filed a grievance and said that is was unfair for the woman to leave the plant like that and bid back in before a conversion like that happened. Instead of it being 36 of us converting it wound up being 33 converting because of what the woman did. The Greensboro, NC post office decides the conversions to careers of all the post offices in the 50 states because they are over all of the post offices. If and when NC hear the grievance then if and when we win it, it will show up in our adjustments in our paychecks that we get biweekly. That is all for now, I will keep y'all updated. God Bless You!
Former Chicago Bulls NBA players Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, and Luc Longley trash former teammate Michael Jordan. Pippen referred to MJ as a loser, a ball hog, and selfish. Pippen referred to the Bulls head coach as playing basketball 🏀 the wrong way back in the 90's. Pippen refers to today's NBA as more fun to watch with high scoring offense and little to no defense. I honestly believe that Pippen has lost his mind with the statements that he has made.
MJ acknowledges that MJ could have never won an NBA Title without Pippen. MJ has acknowledged that Longley was a great big man that helped the Bulls win Championships and I know MJ was grateful to have Grant help with scoring contribution to help the Bulls win Championships as well. The problem with what Pippen, Longley, and Grant is doing is they're trashing MJ the same MJ that made those aforementioned players better. Grant have the audacity to trash MJ and wearing Jordan's.
Let's get on these three players. Pippen was good not great. Pippen was a point forward what I mean by that is he could dribble, pass, and drive to the basket like a point guard. Pippen was a good 3-point shooter. Grant was average not good. Grant had the 15-foot midrange jump shot. Actually his brother Harvey Grant was a better shooter than Horace Grant and Harvey could shoot threes and Horace couldn't. Longley was average not good. Longley was a post up player in the paint and got rebounds as a big man.
If Pippen, Grant, and Longley went to any other team back in the 80's and 90's they would have been complete busts. Actually Grant never won anything when he played for the Orlando Magic back 1994-1995 Season. Pippen is jealous of MJ because MJ was a leader and Pippen always followed MJ. Prime example when MJ retired in 1993 to play major league baseball ⚾, Pippen had a chance to be a leader. Toni Kukoc was a better clutch shooter than Pippen. In Game 3 of the Eastern Semifinals the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks were tied at 102 apiece. The Knicks were up 2-0 in the series. Bulls then head coach Phil Jackson called a play for Kukoc for the game winning shot. Pippen was so irritated by that that Pippen wouldn't even check in the game for that final play. Kukoc hit the shot at buzzer and the Bulls cut the Knicks series lead in 1994 2-1 with a 104-102 win. A true leader which Pippen was not would have checked in the game and would have thought of that as another scorer taking a load off the primary scorer.
Pippen felt that he was underpaid and saw how MJ was making $35,000,000-$38,000,000 a year. MJ got endorsements through NIKE and Gatorade. Pippen chose to accept mid level contracts of $2.25,000,000-$2.75,000,000 a year. Pippen could have had more money 💰 if Pippen wanted more money. That is not MJ's fault. NBA players can negotiate their contract and if their earnings ain't to their liking to them their agents can tell them no deal.
Pippen brought up how today's NBA basketball is played the right way with high scoring offense. Well, Pippen if you like boring overtime games or timeouts that take 5-10 minutes because of commercials then maybe just maybe that's fine for you. Not to mention little to no D is played and there is a lot of iso where one star feels that he have to beat another star off the dribble. Centers are shooting 3-pointers. Can someone please 🥺 explain why Centers in the NBA are shooting six 3-pointers a game according to Pippen this is playing NBA basketball the right way, whereas back in the 80's and 90's Centers shot three-pointers to beat the shot clock. I liked seeing games where it was a 94-92 game only because there were good solid D by both teams.
MJ could have led the Bulls to the Eastern Conference Finals without Pippen but Pippen couldn't lead the Bulls in 1994-1995 to the playoffs. MJ knew it and when there were baseball strikes in 1995, Jordan told head coach Phil Jackson and his teammates that he was coming back. I remember when MJ lit up my team scoring 55 points, yep I was a Knicks fan back then, and how MJ helped the Bulls get in the playoffs as a 5th seed and they played the 4th seeded Charlotte Hornets. As a Knicks fan, I wasn't a fan of MJ and how he used to scorch my former team. But I have the utmost respect for MJ because he played the game the right way and won Six Championships to prove it. Pippen have called MJ the GOAT only because MJ's son and Pippen's ex-wife have broken 💔 off their relationship that MJ didn't approve of to begin with. A star jock baseball player who is failing in school gets tutored by a plus-size girl. The same plus-size girl tries to make friends in a sorority club. Humiliated the plus-size girl was tricked into going to a house where she had to wear a bathing suit, the jock was locked in the closet with her not aware what was going on. The plus-size girl is crying 😭 and pleading to be let out of the closet.
Finally when the devious girl let the plus-size girl out of the closet she ran off. Jonathan is aware of the plus-size girl being humiliated and reminds the plus-size girl that people like that devious girl who humiliated the plus-size girl is not a friend. The plus-size girl cared about making friends that being thin was what mattered to the plus-size girl. The plus-size girl was not aware of that fact that the devious girl didn't care if the plus-size girl was thin or not. She would have still humiliated her in front of the devious girl's boyfriend.
The devious girl's boyfriend did the right thing by leaving her house and looking for the hurt and humiliated plus-size girl to try to talk to her and comfort her. The jock felt that he owed it to the plus-size girl when she helped the jock pass his courses especially Algebra. It was the plus-size girl that thought that the jock should get a second chance at school. The jock doubted he could pass his courses and was going to throw away his future and be like his dad and work without a high school education.
The Jock's feelings grew for the plus-size girl and he had this to say to her, "how about we make a promise to each other. If you can tutor me and helped me pass Algebra, I can help you shed the pounds. So what do you say friend?" The jock and the plus-size woman went out together and that was the beginning of a beautiful❤️ friendship. I stumbled upon this episode of a jockey with his plus-size girlfriend at a restaurant. The first waitress humiliated the jockey's girlfriend and referred to her as a sister or assistant. The jock said that the woman was his girlfriend. Humiliated the plus-size girlfriend wondered if the jock would fall for thin women since they seemed to always flirt with him whenever the jock's girlfriend was with him. The jock told his beautiful plus-size woman that she is his woman, and he wouldn't be interested in a thin woman.
Meanwhile the plus-size woman was chimed on her phone by her friend while the jock was chimed on his phone by his buddies. They went out to have some drinks while the plus-size woman and her friend spied on the plus-size woman's boyfriend. The girlfriend hired an actress to come to where her boyfriend was at to try and catch him in an act of cheating. The boyfriend knew that this was a setup by his girlfriend, so he played along and pretended to be interested in the actress when he agreed to let her buy him a drink. The boyfriend even played along walking the actress home.
That jock knew all along that the whole thing was a setup and that he wanted to catch his girlfriend in the act by calling her out on it. He noticed her hiring an actress on her laptop. The jock had this very interesting thing to say to his girlfriend, "if we don't have trust in our relationship then we don't have anything." The jock was basically telling his girlfriend if she can't trust the jock enough that he wouldn't fall for any other girls, then they don't have much of a relationship with her being insecure or jealous because of her weight.
Wow, this really hit home for me because most of the girls that I ever liked were plus size. In fact, the woman who I talked about that used to work for Hall of Fame Lanes in East Hartford that used to give me the discounts when I went bowling Tiffany was a plus-size woman. The thing about a plus-size woman that guys really like about them and I'm going to chime in and say this; they like a bold woman who is comfortable expressing herself. They like a woman who like a guy to be bold and express himself, too. At the end of the video the jock's girlfriend was bold enough to express herself when another waitress was flirting with the jock. All and all plus-size women are attractive and guys like them and always have. I'm going to take it a step further and say that is the case in all races both of the same race and interracial. Latrell Sprewell was suspended 68 games back in 1997-1998 NBA season for choking then head coach of the Golden State Warriors PJ Carlesimo. I didn't know that there was a gag order involving Spree's suspension. At the time there were dress code guidelines that NBA players had to abide by. Some coaches were stricter than others when it came to these dress codes.
All NBA players were part of the union and even though they didn't condone what the players did by coming late for practice, wearing braids, or not wearing the proper attire while flying out to away games the union had the players back if whatever they did felt justifiable.
Spree was a slasher with a quick first step which meant it made Spree unguardable. Spree's really hard work ethic on a lousy Golden State Warriors team back in 1997-1998 was the reason he gave the Warriors a chance in close games to give them a chance win at the end. Carlesimo have had head coaching experience as an Assistant coach of the Portland Trailblazers in 1992 that gave the Chicago Bulls a run for their money in the NBA Finals. Carlesimo also coached at Seton Hall in college basketball 🏀.
Carlesimo yelled at players and thought it would work when Carlesimo came back in NBA coaching. The issue with that is the team is only winning 25-30 games in a 82 game season. The only thing that you are going to do is upset the players and they will give up on you as a coach. Carlesimo continued to target Spree whatever the case, Spree was trying to tell Carlesimo to stop bugging Spree over every little thing that Carlesimo didn't like about Spree.
Regardless, if you agree with Spree or the way Carlesimo handled Spree, Spree felt he was justified for choking Carlesimo and Carlesimo felt that he was justified in going after Spree. As a black man taking American History, US History, African American History I & II, African American Literature, and American Government courses from 19-28 I was brainwashed to believe that blacks were whites slaves at community colleges that I've attended and private Christian college. It wasn't until I was 28 until an American Government professor at Capital Community college told the class about the party affiliation until I realized what the Republican party and Democratic party stood for.
You may ask what does this have to do with me being brainwashed. I will tell you why. The Republican party was for abolishing slavery and desegregation while the Democratic party was for keeping slavery in place and having schools, buses, restaurant bathrooms, etc, segregated. Blacks were hoodwinked in to believing the Liberal politics. It was actually blacks that owned slaves. The public and private schools taught the aforementioned courses above the wrong history.
Once I learned about the right history, I realized that not all blacks including myself grew up in the era where there were slavery and segregation. I grew up in a Interdenominational church where there were people of different races. Black men were married to white women and black women were married to white men.
Another thing that they taught was that the South was prejudice and the North wasn't which wasn't true. I'm from a state where they have history at the ancient burial of slaves in Hartford. Also, if I go to a certain area of my state in towns like Simsbury, Avon, Canton, Burlington, Farmington, etc, the people there will look at blacks strange and roll their eyes and act like they are not prejudice but they are and try to hide it. Whenever I go down south I feel the love and it is part of the main reason why I want to move down south. I love the southern accent. The southerners always say that they love my Yankee accent but I think that their accent is really cool. 😎
Lastly, 18 years now not believing the brainwashing I think that black history month is repetitious of the same old thing that Democrats want to twist and believe that all black people suffered. Martin Luther King Jr's I Have A Dream speech is taken out of context to suit the Dems idea to focus on blacks being enslaved. I think if we are going to look at and focus on discrimination we need to look at people of every race because they got a story to tell, it's not only blacks that were discriminated.
